Welcome to my youtube channel!
This is where I post movies on my Corydoras catfish hobby. Barely edited it aims at other Corydoras hobbyists and those that want to become one.
You will find spawnings, egg en fry development, live food I culture or catch to give to my fish and fish I keep with my Cories. Do let me know if you like my video's!

Corydoras sipaliwini spawning 18-02-2020
How did you get them to breed? Is it like other cory's?
Yes, however nice life food (tubifex, red mosquito larvae, daphnia) does help a lot.
How many Liters?
60 liters
@@RolandvanOuwerkerk thank you :)
Very welcome! @@oleherget4700
Hi, whats the name of the plants?
Sagitarria subulata
Hello, thank you for the impressions. Do the Corydoras Nattereri need a strong current to spawn and where do they spawn on?
They spawn after water change most of the time. Eggs on glass and leaves.
It seems the Vulcan Cory is not too difficult to breed. They are beautiful but I think the Hephaestus Cory is taking the new spotlight.
The spotlight? Really? Hahaha but how about Corydoras breei then? For sure that one has some Holywood potential too right?
So they put the eggs on a leaf. I have what I think is a make and female so good to know. Thank you
Hi - Are you able to send some and if not can you direct me to a source? Thanks.
No cant do that
Great video of a rare Corydora variety!
Hello Mr. van Ouwerkerk, do you have Corydoras for cold water (17-24 degrees)? Best regards
All my Corydoras are kept around those temperatures
Is it possible to contact you maybe via WhatsApp?
@@juxuser ? Why just ask me here
I'm looking for Corydoras, which can cope well with a 60cm Aquarium and permanent temperatures of around 20 degrees and lower. If you sell some species, please let me know which species you have, how much they cost and where I can Pick them up. Thanks and Best regards
@@juxuser Corydoras paleatus
Congratulations! How hardly is it to breed them?
Not hard at all, the eggs can be hatched and raised in their parents tank. The ones in this video basically took care of themselves!
Sadly that they are still so rare...
Aquariumwater gebruiken is meestal voldoende.
Wow!!! Perfect!!! CW111
Thanks for that footage. Very impressive. Did I, witness mating behaviour? and if so, did you have success with the Fry? Danke für das Filmmaterial. Sehr beeindruckend.
yes this is mating. You can see a female with an egg that she is going to deposit on a plant and towards the end you can see t-position with a male and female, the actual spawning. This species is not too hard to breed and surviving youngsters pop up every now and then from these spawns.
Hello, this species looks similar to CW123. I haven't been able to find information on deciphering between the two, do you happen to know how to distinguish between these two?
Not really, I guess these rare bycatch species are separated mostly by their origin.
Reminds me of my S Barbatus..
Imagine these cories in a tank with zebra pleco L046....all zebra patterns...
Would fit with L333 or L236 as well...
Erg fraai Roland
Very pretty
Japonya dan cw111 alabilirmiyim bilgisi olan varmı uçak ta sorun olur mu
Buy from madshrimp, they can probably import them to japan if you buy over $500 dollars worth. Currently they have them in stock for $240 sgd
How many in the group? How did you get them to spawn? Water parameters like PH and temperature?
11 in the group at the time I think, temp 24 Celsius, pH 7.2 on average. Trigger to spawn is usually the weekly waterchange of 10%
@@RolandvanOuwerkerk was your breeding group wild or tank raised ?
@@Mr2pac2000 They were wildcaughts
Thank You , great video btw
Wow nice!!!
What's your ph And how big is the group you have ? Water Temperature ? How did you get them to spawn?
Ph was 7.2, the group was 10. Temp 25 Celsius, trigger was just a water change (70%), not specifically cooler or anything
@@RolandvanOuwerkerk thanks for the info. Good video btw 👌
I know this is an old video, but I just got a group of 8 poecilus and wanted to know if you did anything special to keep them happy/make them spawn.
No special treatment was needed, I just gave them good food and good water. They do not eat their own eggs or fry. Good luck!
@@RolandvanOuwerkerk Thanks for the info!
I think they might be an Indonesian gertrudea ssp
Cute little boooo🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hi How many fowleri do you have in the tank and what ratio of male /female as the males can be very aggressive when breeding
There where eight, but at different ages. Two males, two females, four I am not sure of just yet :-)
Beautiful and rare fish, i've never seen these before. That male (2:10) is as big as the female or even bigger than her!
Hello, may I ask how big the fish were when they spawned?
About 3.5 cm males, female about 4cm
first time see this one, nice
Any chancw I can get these beautyful cw111 in VietNam my friend ?
Might be possible through Hong Kong or Japan
@@RolandvanOuwerkerk sent you a DM on FB
stunning
Schöne Fische !
Tank is 60x30x30cm, 54 liters
Why do those two displaying males have such different finnage?
Really nice tank setup for those corydoras, what size tank? Love the sand/java moss setup very natural. I also have a couple of different types of corydoras myself. Love these little catfish.

@@RolandvanOuwerkerk Beautifully setup tank 👍
Beautiful corydoras looking to add these to my channel
Could you tell please how do you culture Dero worms ?
I fed them spinage leaves
@@RolandvanOuwerkerk oh yes I see ruclips.net/video/yRIcl3Cj6MI/видео.html
Did you have success with breading them ???
André Fourmont no my friend, this was at a shop
Wow soo cool!! Love the catfish!! New friend here!!
I like this courtship dance :)
Very good video! What type of worms are they eating? Are they Grindal worms?
Yes those worms are grindal worms
Prachtig! Zie je niet vaak! Is het wild vang?
Nee, F1 nakweek
Smart beasts, they have nice eyes. Can they wink too?
Yes they do every now and then :-)
Beautiful
What size tank?
50x30x30 cm
looking great! Interesting how much the colour pattern differs from the adult in the background.
Jeff Webb yes it is almost a shame juvenile pattern is more colorful 😀
